What is a digital e-Ration Card?

In West Bengal, an e-Ration Card is a digital PDF document issued by the Food & Supplies Department of the Government of West Bengal to eligible households. It provides access to subsidized food grains and essential items from fair price shops. Replacing the traditional paper ration card, the e-Ration Card offers greater convenience and transparency in the distribution of food subsidies through online platforms.

Who is eligible for e-Ration Card?

All beneficiaries in West Bengal with an active ration card are eligible for an e-Ration Card. In case of a lost or misplaced card, or after updating details, you can obtain a digital ration card for just Rs. 50. Beneficiaries who have linked their Aadhaar number and mobile number with their ration card are also eligible to receive the e-Ration Card.

How to access and download Your e-Ration Card PDF?

Follow the steps below to apply and download your e-ration card: 1. Visit the Food & Supplies Department website at www.food.wb.gov.in, click on the "Services" menu, select the "Ration Card" tab, and choose the link to apply for a new Ration Card as per the requirement. 2. The applicant will be directed to the “Apply for Digital Ration Card” page. Complete the online application and submit it. 3. The application will be processed and approved as per the established procedure. 4. Upon approval, the applicant will receive an SMS notifying them of the approval of their e-Ration Card on the registered mobile number. The SMS will include a link to download the e-Ration Card as a PDF file. 5. The applicant can download the e-Ration Card for all family members in PDF format. 6. After approval, the applicant can log in to the website www.food.wb.gov.in using the OTP received on their registered mobile number (RMN). They can access their dashboard and view/download the e-Ration Cards of all family members at any time. The details of all family members will be displayed, and e-Ration Cards can be downloaded.

How much does the e-Ration PVC Card cost?

The cost for a single e-Ration PVC Card is ₹60, including courier charges and tax. The ration dealer's signature card is provided for free. Is there any service or hidden charges?

There are no service charges or hidden fees. If you are applying solely for PVC printing, the printing charges will be determined based on the specific details of your application.

How long does it take to receive a Ration PVC Card?

After receiving the order and the ration card's PDF is uploaded, ercard.in prints and hands over the PVC cards to a courier service within 2 working days (excluding the request date). It is then dispatched to the resident’s address via Ecom Express or Delhivery.com, typically within 3 to 7 days.

No, we are not a government portal. It is an independent service provider created to help residents obtain PVC versions of their Digital Ration Cards. While we facilitate the printing and delivery of PVC Ration Cards, we are not affiliated with any government department.

Is this service government-approved?

According to government guidelines, e-Ration Card holders can download their ration card from the official government portal and print it on normal paper, photo paper, or a PVC card as per their preference. We are a PVC printing service provider, offering PVC-printed copies of ration cards for those who request them. Applicants simply need to submit their card details, PDF file, delivery address, and mobile number to place an order. Just like cybercafés that print documents for customers at their business locations, we provide the same service through our online portal. Since we are only a printing service provider, no special government permission is required for this service. However, we are a registered business under MCA and MSME.
